Foods that Balance the pH Level

The pH level indicates the body's acid/alkaline balance. pH level generally measures on a scale of 0 to 14; the lower the pH - the more acidic the solution, the higher the pH - the more alkaline the solution. The middle of the scale at 7 is neutral.

An imbalance in the pH level of your body can affect your nervous system, cardiovascular system, muscles and skin. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the pH balance of the body. In order to provide your body with the nutrients it needs, you should introduce alkaline foods into your diet. Alkaline foods neutralize acids and toxins in the blood, lymph and tissues, and strengthen your immune system, organs and well-being.

Alkaline foods include Avocado, Beets, Bell peppers, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Chard, Cucumber, Dark lettuce, Garlic, Fresh herbs, Kale, Leeks, Lemon, Lime, Onion, Parsley, Red new potatoes, Seasonal fruit, Spinach, Squash, Tomato, Zucchini and more.
